“Education is not merely a learning process, but it is necessarily a process of transforming humans into better and efficient individuals”- Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.

Life is all about chances and opportunities never leave anything to chance and never let an opportunity get away. Participation in activities is often a prediction of success in later life.

The Shakespearean literary association has completed 21 fruitful years on 23rd June, 2017. The association was inaugurated by Dr. Jude Annie Cynthia, Maths professor, Stella Maris College, Chennai. To monitor the activities of the association, office bearers from the students were selected. Priyadharshini Sathish of std IX A was nominated as the president and Priyadharshini Suresh of std IX C as its secretary. Also a working committee was formed. During the inaugural ceremony, the chief guest delivered an enlightening speech which encouraged the students a lot in bringing confidence in their later life. This literary association aims at creating a love for the language and a passion to acquire higher order skills as creative communication through the media prose, poetry, drama, etc; it also provides an opportunity for the students to exhibit their talents. Competitions like just-a-minute, quiz, debate, essay, mono-acting, workshops, and oratorical were held every year by the club in the school. Activities are carried out to bring out the potential in each and every student.

I bow my head to the Almighty God for the blessings He has shown upon this institution. Great and sincere thanks to our principal Rev.Fr. Johny Koyikkara, C.M., for his continuous patronage in our growth. Also I thank the students, our dedicated English teachers and well wishers for their co-operation and support. We hope that this Shakespearean Literary Association would turn out to be the best literary exhibiting platform in the years to come.
