“THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR PLANET IS THE BELIEF THAT SOMEONE ELSE WILL SAVE IT”  -Robert Swan.

We are all part of the environment we live in.  The solution to many environmental problems lie in our attitude towards the environment. Be it awareness to keep our surroundings clean or the realization to conserve natural resources by reusing and recycling wherever possible, they all are attitudinal. On the surface it looks simple but changing the attitude of 125 crore people is not going to happen overnight.  The best way to attempt to bring about a change in the attitude of the society is through children. They have no vested interests and they are impressionable. They are the future. They are the main influence in any family. With this realization, we have channeled our efforts in this direction of saving the environment.

The club is led by Niharika Dubey of std IX  as the President and E. Reshma of std IX as the Secretary,   under the guidance of our Principal  Rev.Fr.Johny Koyikkara, C.M., and Vice Principal  Rev. Fr. Arockia Doss, C.M.

HERBAL GARDEN

Being one of the best eco- friendly schools in the city, we have our own herbal garden within our school campus.  We brought various herbal plants such as Aloevera, Tulsi, Nithya kalyani, keezhanelli etc. The SVS club members made sure that the plants are watered regularly. Apart from herbal plants we grow a number of vegetables and greens in the campus.

ECO CLUB -AWARENESS

The students from standard V to XII made posters, banners by displaying quotes and slogans relating to creating a eco-friendly  world and to create awareness among the students.

Eco club efficiently conducted all its activities with the continuous support of the teachers -in-charge and the co-operation of the students. The Eco- club emerged successfully in all its activities for this academic year with the ample guidance of our dear Principal Rev. Fr. Johny Koyikkara, C.M.
